GIVING

Giving should be a way of life and not only with our finances. We should give our time and talents to help those who need it. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives and that includes with our finances. Because we have been recipients of God’s tremendous generosity, we choose to give generously to others as an expression of our gratitude and love for God. Everywhere you look throughout the bible you will see the Lord talking about giving.

・2 Corinthians 9:6-8 says, “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will about in every good work.”

・Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe in to the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.

・Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
